NFL Fans Hate the Colts

Their defense is made to play with a lead, when they don't have one they are next to useless. With Peyton Manning they wouldn't give up 31 points. With Manning, the drives last longer and gain more yards meaning when they have to punt, their opponent defense gets worse field position

 

It sounds good, it's just not likely. lol at "defense built to play with a lead"... So what do they do for the first halves?

Your stats don't support your opinion. The colts were better in TOP. More importantly, they were much better in points scored.

 

They let Peyton Manning score 7 points real fast, then they "play with a lead." haha

 

Outside of your speculation this is what we know:

The Colts current D allows 31ppg.

Peyton's offense has never averaged 31ppg.

TOP barely differs without Manning.

The rest is just you guessing as to what he'd do because you think he's great.

Yeah. He's great.

He's not half as good as ESPN and others make him out to be, but he's great. Not godly.

 

Let's see:

Week 1 - With Manning, they certainly beat the Cows.
Week 2 - With Manning, they certainly beat Cleveland.
Week 3 - Pissburgh barely beat them with Painter. With Manning, they beat the Stoolers.
Week 4 - TB beat them by a touchdown with Painter. With Manning, they win that.
Week 5 - KC beats them by 4 points for their first win. With Manning, that doesn't happen.
Week 6 - Bengals beat them by 10. I'll say this one is a toss up. I need to see the Bengals play a good team to make a decision on them.
Week 7 - New Orleans would've whipped them either way for sure.
Week 8 - I think they beat us with Manning.
Week 9 - Probably still get beat by the Falcons even with Manning.

So I'd say with Manning, they'd be about 7-2 or, at worse, 6-3 right now.
