    Making the case for Tennessee

Making the case against the Titans is easy. Their overall defensive talent is average at best, and they are relying on growth from a scattershot young quarterback to carry an intriguing boom-or-bust collection of skill-position players.

The case for the Titans, made by Chris Wesseling on the podcast, starts with the offensive line. A weakness for the team last year could turn into a strength with free-agent pickup Andy Levitre and No. 10 overall draft pick Chance Warmack added to the mix. All four of us had the Titans in third place, but no one had them with a winning record.

    Honestly, NFL.com is right.

We have a shady defense. Our safeties can't cover. CBs are lackluster. No elite pass-rushers. Lots of young talent, hoping it develops. Inconsistent QB. Improved OL. Rehyped RB. Talented WRs, whom haven't produced yet. Below average coaching staff.

We have the potential, but alot of players need to develop if we're going to do anything this year. I'm talking to you Locker, Britt, Morgan, McCourty, Ayers, Brown, Casey, and another CB (Coty?).

I was really excited about this team before preseason, but not so sure about how I feel now. I think our offense is above average, but our defense is just plain not good. Hoping they can prove me wrong.

I'm not as hyped as I was in the offseason for sure. That said I'm reserving judgement for week 1.

Offence is better than average now, but defense is still a turd. Bring out the fired meat wagon for Munch and Crew!

Def waiting for week one to complain. I wanna see a fully schemed game before I make a judgment. At the moment, the front Dline has looked hot and cold. Scheme, blah.

Locker has shown some good and some bad. Shakey but not terrible. Run game has been good.

50/50 ATM. Hopefully, but realistic. And it's only preseason. I remember we dominated preseason and then went on to have a shite year. Happens all the time. See how it plays out.
