Not like Finnegan. Sherman can actually play. Finnegan was all talk
Right. I was talking strictly about on-field attitude.
Oh ok. Thought you meant like play as well.
Nope. Douche on the field. Great guy off the field... from what I hear.
I love that people act like Finnegan couldn't play...
Never said that. He was my favorite player when he left, but he was not worth his contract. Not even close.
He fell off the face of the planet this season. He literally allowed a 158.3 rating (perfect) when QBs threw his way until Locker threw the pick to him in week 9.
I know he wasn't worth his contract- but the guy with a Jake Locker avatar (freaking hilarious in context) said "Not like Finnegan. Sherman can actually play. Finnegan was all talk"
3 years ago, Finnegan was a great corner. All heart, but he could stick with most and give them fits. He came as close to shutting 'Dre down as anyone did for about 2 seasons.
Personally I don't understand why people say "he talks a lot of sh*t but he backs it up so it's ok". Just because you can back it up doesn't mean you're any less of an A-hole for taunting people and rubbing your success in their face. Yeah you may look less stupid than a guy who talks smack and then gets pooped on but you're still just as big a jerk. I'm a fan of guys who destroy people and then don't say too much (a little talk here and there is cool too). There's no need. The game is played with your pads.
I thought Richard Sherman said he went over and let him know he was the best CB in the game. Neither of us know, but based on Sherman's actions over his career and getting deservedly punched in the face by Trent Williams he probably didnt just say good game.
Either way Peyton manning is going to wipe his stinky ex colt loving ******* with the Seattle defense in a few weeks.
Sherman was apparently mic'd up for that game. We'll know soon enough what he said.
