The steelers had the 25th hardest schedule this year and they went 9-7. Titans had the 2nd hardest schedule this year and went 8-8. Who had a better season?

I agree, but I think if some in house and drafted improvement is made where there is room, you are looking at a 10-6 Titans team, very similar to the 2007 playoff squad. If greater improvements are made that is very possible, you are talking 11-5 to 12-4 contending for the division again in 2010.

I don't think it is too far fetched. A really good CB and LB from the draft or Free agency, and a solid DE from free agency with some better depth added to those positions in the draft, and you have a Titans team that no one wants to see in the playoffs. I think the pieces are in place alot better than some of the fans do, especially on offense. Maybe I am just too optimistic... Special teams has been a concern as long as I remember though. Does anyone else see that as a problem?

We were extremely injury plagued on defense as well and getting use to a new DC with different schemes. You aren't being very fair.

I agree with this somewhat...but everyone thought the first 6 games of this season would be the toughest stretch of the season. Everyone thought if we could go .500 in these games it would be considered a success...well you know how the first 6 games went for us.

I think 10-6 is a good prediction for that schedual and I think we make the playoffs with that record. I think our Offensive skill positions with an improving, ambitious and now veteran QB with playmaking ability, a dazzling playmaker at RB and a WR in Britt ready to become 'the guy" this O will be able to play with anyone. We need Defensive pass rush more than anything as they makes the back 7 much better, and that can be solved with one correct draft pick or free agent. Add a solid safety to replace Harper in the starting role and a solid linebacker to either replace Keith or add to the depth and this D gets enough better in its second season under this DC to keep us in games and avoid the other teams late surge more often than the 09 group could was able to do.

I agree any time the schedule has you playing so many playoff capable teams you can't expect to do any better than .500 vs that group, so if we stay healthy and beat the guys we should beat I think 10-6 can be achieved, maybe even 11-5.

We will need to take the division. Trying not to lose the division just puts us in third.

If you can't beat good teams, what's the point?

With this schedule I will go on the record as saying if we go 10-6 or better, so long as it's not another 2007 season where the defense plays out of their mind winning the games by themselves, I will be sold that Vince can win the big games.

And, I hope that if we go 6-10 or worse, the Vince faithfuls will man up and admit their boy can't win the big games like they thought he could.

Anything is possible. One game at a time that schedule does not look all that bad. Away at the Cowboys and Chargers are the true test. We fix our D and we will be in good shape though.
