I can't imagine it will be a sequel to any of the existing G-films.. More likely a retelling of the original. And why the Alabama stuff?

True but I enjoyed it. I actually like it better when it's not done with CGI. My favorite of all time is Godzilla vs. Mega Godzilla. One of the few times where Godzilla really gets F'd up.
