Hey guys. My fiance is coming from Vancouver to Nashville to do her practicum at Vanderbilt Hospital, and needs a place to stay. The dates needed are Dec 30, 2012 to April 25, 2013. We have looked on Craigslist with minimal results, because people don't write back. Is there any other places we can look up, or does anyone have a place to rent. Looking for $500/month or less, and includes hydro/tv/internet/laundry. Female roommates only please.
You're going to have a hard time finding something for $500 or less right near Vandy. Due to location, prices are going to be pretty steep. I'd expect the only way you could come near to that price is to share a four bedroom place with three others. The cheapest place closest to Vandy that I know of is Royal Arms, but it's probably 4 miles from the hospital... and traffic along Hillsboro Rd sucks. And those are crappy apartments IMO.
lol. Thanks for the heads up. She has no problem with roommates as long as they are female. As for a Vanderbilt contact, who do you recommend?
I'd contact their housing department or their admissions office. They might have a list of recommended places off-campus and a list of possible roommates.
