NBC/NFL Network Announce Titans/Steelers Will Air in All 22 Cam

I saw an article saying they will not be doing the SkyCam on 3rd downs or in the red zone, since on those downs you would want to see the distance the players get.

 

We already know that we will get 0 yards and 0 TDs on 3rd down or in the red zone. I'd rather see why that is.

 

3/3 last week in the red zone against the #1 redzone defense
7/15 on 3rd downs last week (best this season)

You're right, that makes up for being atrocious in both aspects during the rest of the year.

the logic on that is pretty flawed, it strictly goes by % of scores.

for instance... the jets are #3 with 25% with only 12 scores in the red zone.
the titans are 19 with an 18% and 13 scores....

so the jets efficiency is higher, sure, but they just arent getting to the red zone much

 

I know that's not exactly what that website does, but they could really make a very easy to read chart with even more information.

The article only has how many TD's they scored and what percentage of the RZ visits ended in a TD (we can use math to figure how many RZ visits total then).

Problem with this statistic is it doesn't say how many FG were scored also.

EX: team A has 47 RZ trips, has 13 TD but has 29 FG. That means they scored on 42/47 trips.
Team B then has 47 RZ trips with 16 TD but has 20 FG. They're TD percentage is higher, but their scoring percentage is well lower (36/47).

In that example, I would say Team A is the better RZ team.

I would also say that adding TO (and which type) and 4th down stops would be valuable for comparison. Also if they're RZ trip was cut short due to the clock running out.

 

At least he's not afraid to post his own photo. I'd never do it. It gives people such as yourself ample opportunity to be exploitative. Btw, way to control your own urges.
