I'd say you're the one who has no business talking basketball on a football forum with a baseball avatar lol. You're discrediting Deuces theory because it came out of his mouth. What he's saying holds some water. The NBA's refs do in fact influence the outcome of their games. They don't "fix" them necessarily, but they do keep the games close.

No I'm discrediting his theory because he's dodged all of my questions and offered zero evidence to help his theory. Try to keep up.

Damn deuce i was with you until you said a boston team that has no business in the finals. They very well deserve it. They went through the leagues top 2 teams to get here and have done so as a team, and not one player needing to take over i.e. Kobe. Phil Jackson is getting out coached again by doc rivers and the bigs are getting out played again. Simple as that. And i used to hate boston because of paul pierce, but once my favorite player ever, Kevin Garnett, was traded there i was forced to cheer them on. And i have grown accustomed to the message they use to play. Work together and play together. And that is whats going on now.

Thanks for pointing that out, I almost forgot. Just more lunacy from gloat. They beat the top 2 teams in the East yet they don't belong. I guess if they had beat Jordan's bulls, the bad boy pistons and Magic's lakers then they'd belong.

    Top 2 teams?? Whaaaat? lol

Any top 4 team from the west would have beaten those supposed "top 2 teams". Especially when both of their "stars" consistently fail to show up in the postseason.

Boston has fought for it, so I can't say they have no business, but before the playoffs- they'd be about the last of teams in the playoffs people expected to be in the Finals.

I wouldn't say the last of teams expected to be in the Finals... Thunder, Bulls, Spurs, Bobcats, Blazers, Bucks, Jazz, Heat, Nuggets, Hawks, and Suns.

You would expect those teams in the Finals over the Celtics? There's no way.

Well some of those are in the West. But yeah, most people would have said the Nuggets and Suns were much better teams than the Celtics going in to the playoffs. The others, maybe not- but I think everyone assumed the Celtics were done. I'd say the Jazz were on about the same level.

Well that's the great thing about the playoffs, it separates contenders from pretenders. It doesn't matter what people thought about Boston going into the playoffs, they beat the Heat, Cavs and Magic. How do they not belong?

BTW good thing the refs are keeping this one close, otherwise it would be boring.

So, who won this game? Was it the refs, coach, or players? I'm confused.

Yea, I know... I was just naming every team that I'd put below the Celtics. There's no way the Jazz/Nuggets and Celtics are on the same level, but I can see people thinking the Suns are better... because they probably are.

I actually have a friend who, when the playoffs started, picked the Celtics to win it all. Not a bad pick, but it's not looking good. I don't see the Lakers losing game 7 at home.

Once the Celtics got past the Cavs, I sort of figured they'd go to the Finals, but lose. Looks like that's going to be the case. I've been pulling for 'em, but it's not promising.
