Narrow the goal posts?

This thread has eerily similar crap qualities as a jcb thread.

 

Long FG can actually be exciting (Titans have had their share)- and if narrower pipes creates fewer long field goals it probably hurts the game. It'll be hard to get excited about a 35 yarder at narrow pipes.

As for game balance - narrower pipes probably increases the importance of a good kicker - and I don't know that that's a good idea either.
