My VERY early 2008 Mock Draft

    1. limas sweed wr texas ,vy fav target at texas & nfldraftcountdown has us taking him at 21 , malcom kelly going 14th wr ok,d. jcakson cal 18th & maro m. michigan 28th & early doucet wr lsu 30th,we could rade up or sit back for sweed or mario,doucet would be a stetch.
    2.johahn goff lb vandy would be a best in middle.
    3.dustin keller te purdue 4.65 & great intagables,smart & can stretch field

    Stewart is going to be a restricted free agent. He only signed a 3 year deal as a rookie in 05.

    Scaife is also a RFA..

    What about duke robinson the guard out of oklahoma? GBN has him going 24th to the steelers. When was the last time the titans drafted a stud guard early? Add a free agent upgrade to bell and we could have an elite 0-line.

    Well there's quite a big difference between RFA and UFA. I seriously doubt we lose Stewart.

    Stewart will get a first round tender, so he won't be going anywhere.

    We obviously need to upgrade at WR, but I'm notconvinced using a 1st rd pick on one will give us the quick fix we need. If the right guy is there I wouldn't hesitate to pull the trigger, but don't think we can go into the draft with a mantra of "we must take a WR in round 1".

    I'd like us to draft a good LB or an interior O-Lineman. Not sure if the junioe guard from Oregon State is coming out, but would love to get a mauler like him to replace Olsen.

    This is still a young team, so I think we can afford to wait on a WR to develop. A guy like Earl Bennett may be able to come in and contribute right away. But yeah, they typically take a little longer to get it.

    The interior o-line just looks weak for top end talent this year. A really good OG would be nice, especially for long term thinking, but it doesn't look like a 1st rounder is there. I'd still like to lock up Bell to a reasonable contract and also see Amano and Harris get their full time shots.

    Our OLB's are getting a little older. I think we can afford to wait a little longer there though. LB's usually can come in and play right away. A mlb upgrade would be nice, but I still like Tulloch and kinda doubt the Titans will invest more into the position.

    I'm not sold on Manningham, but the best available prospects around our pick were OTs (which I can't see us using a 1st on) or Felix Jones (who I'd love to get, but can't see us drafting)
