My thoughts on LenDale

The interview at the end of the 1st round of the draft says it all for this guy IMO. The look in his eyes, the fact that he did not blow up with ESPN after they ask him what he thinks of the fact that he did not get draft to that point as he is watching on TV them go over his faults and why he will be lucky to make the 2nd round. And bring up 3 time how many hours and minutes he had waited to be drafted to that point.

It was hatred towards every team that did not take him. He really did not care who drafted him he only cares about laying down the hurt.

From that moment on I was hoping we landed him. When we traded our #2 away I was sure he was gone. I figured any scout that had seen that interview for a team in need of even a back up would scoop him up as a maybe. Had to leave the house for a couple hours get back and Bam we have Thunder!

The guy is going to be a stud in the power back role. He knows it and is under his original college coach. With Brown as his Lightning we have improved our run game dramatically.

 

It will be nice to see him when Brown is not 100%.

 

I think with another legitamate back who will truely split carries Browns injuries will go way down. No more 17 carry in a 1/2 for Brown.

 

thats what I said when we drafted LenDale White, after all the cheering in the store, I collected myself and said to myself "out with Jerome Bettis, in with the new Jerome Bettis, and the best part is that he is on our team."

This one is pretty cool, but it's just a clip.

 

I consider LenDale the unsung hero of USC. All anyone ever heard about was Leinart and Bush. During their careers at USC, White had just as many yards as Bush, and he had more than TWICE as many touchdowns. I'll be surprised if he isn't starting by week 5.

LenDale White = NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year. If you don't believe me, go watch the Rose Bowl again. )

 

well he had many more td's that bush because he was the red zone guy most of the time, i heard that bush's average touchdown run was like 35 yards, thats a little hard to believe tho, but the thing i didnt like about that video was it didnt really show him running over anyone
