Your wish: QB: Locker, Hass, Rusty RB: CJ, Ivory (FA), Harper WR: Britt, Washington, Wright, Preston, Mariani TE: Cook, Stevens, Thompson OT: Roos & Stewart - Otto - Stingley OG: Hutcinson & LeVitre (FA) - Velasco C: Khaled Holmes (3rd Rd)- Velasco (3-4 D) DE: Jurrell Casey, Mike Martin, Derrick Morgan, Karl Klug NT: FA, Anthony Rashard-White (4th Rd) OLB: Akeem Ayers, Kamerion Wimbley, FA (Erik Walden?), 5th Rd ILB: Te'o (1st rd) - Brown - McCarthy - Shaw CB: Jason McCourty CB: Quentin Jammer (FA) NB: Alterraun Verner FS: Michael Griffin - Martin SS: Matt Elam (2nd Rd) - Afalava FAs: Pretty much the same, but add in a FA 34 OLB and starting NT. Draft: Te'o (1st) - Elam (2nd) - Holmes (3rd) - Rash-White (4th) -- 5th OLB Nearly the same thing. We add Te'o in the middle, and I put Brown starting OVER McCarthy. Brown can see time as 34 OLB, and McCarthy will still see the field, but not as much. Add Jammer to play LCB, Verner in the slot. Elam adds much need safety help. Morgan I think would strive as a 34 DE, and we'd have a solid rotation with Martin, Morgan, Casey. Pickup a couple big ol NTs to lead the middle.
There is a chance they franchise tag Delmas, but his injury history may make them think twice about giving him a long-term deal. To me, he is worth the risk. A change in coaching staff in Detroit may mix thing up as well.
The stuff I put in red is the only thing I don't agree with, but you pretty much aced it with this post.
After watching the performance against the Packers, I no longer think Munchak is going to hang around. I just hope Bud fires him immediately and allows sufficicent time for the replacement coaching staff to get set before free agency starts. As far as coaching candidates, Andy Reid is my #1 choice (and it's not even close). Have a look at what John Fox has done at Denver and that is the sort of coach we need right now. Get Reid in as head coach and we can be an attractive landing spot for players and co-ordinators.
I'm dreaming for STAR to fall to us, then a SS in the 2nd. We sign Andy Levitre and a FA CB. Pair that with a complete new coaching staff, i'd give it an A+ for the off-season.
