Must we win our Opening Game?

    What credit will we have if we get beat by the defending Champs? Would that take us out of the SB run right away?


    Will they blame the loss on Haynesworth being gone? IMO we must win the opening game to prove we are still contenders. I'd hate to be the first team to lose a game next season.

    Considering the Cardinals had 7 losses last year and were a minute or two away from winning a Super Bowl, I can't buy into a week 1 loss being a disaster. And, correct me if I'm wrong, but the year before when the Giants won it, didn't they start out something like 0-2 and the fans were calling for Coughlin's head?

    All it would do is give us an 0-1 record. That doesn't take us out of anything. Winning would really set us up nicely and people would really take notice right away as opposed to like week 8 until people took us seriously.

    No Haynesworth + No Vanden Bosch = no problem.

    Offensive additions + KVB back = big problem for Steelers.
