Yeah. Blame the Big 10 refs rather than the team that choked over and over.

Damned those officials for getting the call CORRECT at the end! SEC refs would have just given the game to the vols... OH wait, UT vs LSU... forgot!

lol - its the inconsistency that bothers folks not the loss. Heck +60k Vol fans were quite happy to land a decent bowl, yep Music City bowl is far from one of the worst, with a decent coach and a team that has way fewer felons and thieves than we have unfourtunatly grown accustomed too.

That's not the case- because this game was the definition of consistency. Outside of calling Bray for Unsportsmanlike Conduct and the late hit.

People are mad because UNC beat the Vols. Or the Vols beat themselves... whichever. But either way- the finger pointing goes to the refs because of it.

    Inconsistency in rules enforcement.

Tigers got given a game by a non call of the substitution rules - D is allowed to make subs if O does. Refs did not allow Vols time to sub yet called Vols for too many men on the field allowing LSU another play - with tragic results.

NC ref did not stand over ball preventing a snap in the NC game - as he should have - because Tarheels had both the O and the FG team on the field which prevents the Tennessee D from subsitiuting correctly. Refs called NC for too many men on the field, announced the game was over, Big11 crew huddled up and decided to give the Vols the shaft by allowing the NC another play - with tragic results.

Both games Tennessee should have been allowed to substitute according to NCAA rules and both times refs blew it, and second time I suspect the Big11 crew with much more than a blown call.

So you were upset when UT won a game 2 years ago due to the same thing?

What's that saying? Something about 'what goes around, comes around'?

    Fact still remains:

UT was given most the calls in this game.

They still had time to win.

The play wasn't correctly called at the end. There have been other officals that have been interviewed and said as much.

I guess Big 10 officials just don't get to see real football that much and it flustered them.

I am not saying that the refs cost the Vols the game. Vols earned that loss at the end.

However, my point was to the overall inconsistency by the refs across a couple of games that day. You alluded to it yourself on a previous post. That was pathetic, and needs to get corrected.

    So once again...

the SEC refs that did the same thing (in a game the Vols were the benefactor of) knew what they were doing though, right?
