Titans quarterback Jake Locker will remain in Nashville for at least a portion of the team’s bye week as he continues to recover from the hip and knee sprains he suffered in the fourth game of the season.

“He’ll work his knee and keep going with the rehab, keep getting his leg stronger,” Titans coach Mike Munchak said on Monday. “Things like he would normally do if we were playing here – work out, and then probably get a couple of days away from here. The good thing here is that all the, `Is Jake playing? How’s his knee?’ is all behind him now and we can just as a team get ready to beat our next opponent.”

Munchak said Locker was a little sore following his earlier-than-expected return on Sunday, but the coach was pleased with his performance against San Francisco.

“He’s very happy he played and I am also,” Munchak said of Locker, who completed 25-of-41 passes for 326 yards, two touchdowns and one interception. “I never once thought about taking him out of that game.

“He’s special that way. I think that’s why we say when the smoke clears, this guy is going to be a winner. We’ve got work ahead of us this year, but it was a good start for him.”

No lie. Considering he is still feeling the injury he balled out. We need a run game tho, he can't hold us together by himself.

CJ looked good until we were down by 100 and had to throw the rest of the game. I'm really liking Jake's progress though. Hopefully he keeps it up and we have our franchise QB.

Yeah I was very impressed with Locker yesterday.

If he can look good against San Francisco coming off a bad injury, then I think we can say he can finally succeed in this league.

Our offense was actually good in general. The biggest problem was penalties and untimely drops.
