If the brass does or does not plan on picking up a center in free agency we really don't know yet but......

if they do not pick one up in free agency does anyone think maybe he might switch Amano back to his other position and put someone else at the center position such as Velasco or Harris.I'm forgetting exactly when they did this but i know they did and if i remember correctly it wasn't for long but it did actually seem to work better in that limited time they did make the change.

Anyone think since we did not draft one and even though there is time left we haven't picked up a center elsewhere in free agency that they might plan on moving some players around on the line plus don't forget we also got Hutch so maybe they do plan on making some changes on the line and at the center spot.

    Thoughts?

I'd like to see how Matthews has developed. He's entering his third season and, if he's ever going to get a shot, it should be now.

My only concern is that if we had someone already on staff why did they not come in last year?

Titans have reached a deal with Alabama center William Vlachos. Most site saw him as a 6th-7th rounder, went undrafted.

That doesn't address the current situation, IMO. He'll need time to develop.

By looking a free agent centers the last few months, we know the Titans are trying to upgrade the position and probably don't feel comfortable with any of the options on the current roster.

Wow so we basically just picked up a projected 6/7th round player that went undrafted but he looks pretty good on paper from what xpmar9x just printed plus he was a member of a team that won the championship so thats good too.

But like Jeff said this doesn't address the current situation. He will need time to develop.

It seems like everything was good while Mawae was here but as soon as he left and we put Amano in that spot the troubles began so the coaching staff should plainly see that Amano was the weak link and was not suited for that position so put someone more qualified in that spot.Especially CJ and the running game not being up to par among other things.I think us chasing Peyton Manning caused us to miss out on a center.

We should have never let Myers leave the building.
