I agree Gage is a goner.

Agreed that Gage is product of a former era. I think we'll keep Washington around until his contract is up. By then, we'll have a rookie/FA WR somewhere along the lines.

Also, don't underestimate Palmer putting Cook out wide as part of 3-4 WR sets.

Hawkins has had his opportunities but he keeps getting passed on the depth chart by younger, newer players. Britt in 09 and D-will last year. Might as well add Cook to that list as well and maybe Mariani.

Why would people keep talking about him like he is worth a damn? Does he have a great agent or something? 5 catches last year and Gage and Britt each missed 5 games so don't say he didn't have his chances.

Do you REALLY think Fisher was giving players real chances throughout the roster?

I'm pretty sure Fisher had Gage starting over Britt for the first part of the season. If that's any indication of the talent he was willing to sit over his preferred players then I'd be more than willing to see what Hawkins can do.

I'm not expecting much but he's been around for long enough that it should be sink or swim for him this year.

The sparingly few times he's been in offense, he's made plays. Sideline toe tap grab vs Indy on Monday night to keep the drive alive, and key catches in the final drive vs Arizona. There's talent there and it sounds like Munchak sees enough to give him a decent shot.
