Well... just got the news that i'm forced to move to Murfreesboro, TN for work. I've always lived in Illinois and only have been to TN a few times. Figured some of you likely like in M'Boro or close to it. Give me the run down. Luckily, i'm a single 22 year old, no kids, etc so moving doesn't hurt.

    How's the crime?
    Weather?
    Night life?
    Cost of living?
etc etc etc - give me the 4-1-1

Murfreesboro is a city which has had a ton of growth the last few years. Traffic has been horrible the last few times I was there. Like many cities in Tennessee, it has its charms but, IMO, isn't as unique as a lot of smaller towns in the area.

The weather is basically the same as Nashville which means it can be 80 in January and 45 in June.

I don't know much about crime being an issue there. I assume it's typical for cities its size.

Middle Tennessee is there so there are quite a few college bars/clubs available and Nashville is just about 30-40 minutes away. It's smack in the middle of the state so it's not a bad drive to Chattanooga or Knoxville.

Cost of living is fairly reasonable which is a big reason for its growth.

Don't run a red light, as it seems like every set has a camera.

We got those but if anyone who fights the ticket from one is able to beat it. Maybe you can too.

Wish I knew that last month. I got a $70 ticket for running a red light and didn't think to even fight it because the picture they sent me and the online video clearly showed me running it.

As for M'Boro, I don't know anything about it, other than I usually stop there for gas on the way to LP Field and I met a hot chick with red hair who gave me her number. Her name is Sommer. Anyone know who I am talking about, please get back at me, because I lost her number :(
