Saw it yesterday. It certainly had some issues but overall was a really fun movie. Definitely recommended if you are a fan of that brand of comedy.

    Watched a couple last night:

The Death of Superman Lives- Doc about the now legendary Tim Burton+Nic Cage Superman movie from 1998 that was cancelled days before production began. It was very, very interesting to say the least. This failed attempt at Superman is pretty much a running joke to movie buffs but I must say after watching this documentary it might not have been quite as terrible as everything thinks. Obviously I still believe Nic Cage is about as horrible of a choice for Superman as I can think of but it could've been one of those "so bad/insane it's good" movies.

Sin City: A Dame to Kill For- It was okay but can't help but feel disappointed after the absurdly long wait.

That one has been on the DVR for a week or so. I feel the same way. Had it come out eight years ago, I would have been all over it in the theaters.

    No Brittany Murphy(death)
    No Michael Clark Duncan(death)
    No Clive Owen(other engagements)

Those are signs the movie shouldn't be made.

Was the really the reason for Clive Owen not being in the movie?

I echo your statement here and Sawdust opinion, it was pretty okay. I really thought it was lacking in actors/characters particularly the three actors you mentioned.

I doubt it. He's not hard up for better work and everyone knows sequels of this ilk are studio options and typically made just to squeeze any last drop of money out of the original product.
I haven't seen every single thing Clive has made but I doubt he's had a better role than Thackery on The Knick.

I hope the 2nd season is good. I've been saving it for a marathon viewing sometime.

Yes, it's great. Paced a little differently than the first, but sh*t is going down now.

Watched Hector and the Search for Happiness.

It was alright. My friend hyped it a bit too much, and it fell flat for me.

Not a huge Simon Pegg fan anyway though.
