It was interesting until it was tagged as the "untold story", or something. Now I have no interest.

I still think it looks like it could be a fun movie.

An honest, dramatic Vlad The Impaler movie would be of interest to me.
The video-game version, not so much..
Hollywood doesn't do gothic drama anymore. The kids just aren't into it..

I don't get why people are so upset about them making this movie, like it's going to ruin Dracula forever.

If you don't want to see it, then don't watch it. Pretty simple

Or is it that now this movie has been created and is out in the universe Dracula is somehow destroyed forever??

Same with people who say "it's going to ruin my childhood" was your childhood really that ****** that a remake of a movie that you watched as a kid ruined it??

Of course it's not going to ruin Dracula forever, but combined with the past few video-game styled, cash grab turkeys before it (Van Helsing, I Frankenstein) it totally hijacks the genre and all of a sudden this lowest-common-denominator bullsh*t is all we get moving forward for the foreseeable future.
This is part of why dramatic TV is infinitely better these days than theatrical movies.
