    I get what you're saying but then Beast could appear in a Marvel movie.

    They are, interestingly, sharing a character.

    What I never got about the x-men is why are they hated for being mutants in a world full of superheroes.

    People can distinguish a mutant from a superhero?

    I think it comes from the fact that superheros are rare and mutants make up ~10% of the population therefore giving a lot of average people extraordinary powers.

    If you neighbor woke up today and could suddenly lift 10 tons and see through walls you might find that unnerving.

    Our government certainly would.

    Understand that X Men was written at the time to mirror the Civil Rights Movement that America was going through.

    Lee and Kirby made their own version on what they were seeing around them back in the 1960's in the form of super heros.
