So i just got done watching Only God Forgives.. that was a cluster****, I think I need time to comprehend what I just watched. The ending was.. I don't know. Better than reviews would suggest though if you have an open mind, or an acceptable level of mancrush on Gosling.

i would be the little spoon for Gosling, and I dont feel like that is gay at all.

The live action one? Yeah, I thought it was amazing/scary as a kid.

I tried really hard to like The Place Beyond The Pines and it started off really strong but imo it started to suffer once
    Gosling died
. The second act was solid enough to hold my interest, but the third act became a snoozefest and even felt out of place. Reminded me of the final act of Red Dead: Redemption, as in it felt like a long and boring epilogue.

I even fell bad about writing this because it had so much potential to be a masterpiece. For the most part, it had a perfect cast, great characters, beautiful camera work and a gorgeous soundtrack.

For sure the first part was the best.

    Yeah, I was hoping
we'd get to see more Luke in flashbacks or something in the third act, the film really started to miss his presence 45 minutes after his last scene.

When he died I was literally saying "what the ****..", to kill him off so early in the movie I was bumming hard because Gosling was killing it.

Still, I liked what the director was trying to do overall with the arching storyline.

Don Jon wasn't half-bad. Not your typical romcom.
