usually there are six that are invited, this year there will be ten. i don't know why the league would do this. obviously they want more compelling stories(like oher), but a couple of these guys could last until the low 20's. anyone remember brady quinn? god i couldn't stand them going on and on about how good a kid he was and how they couldn't wait for him to be picked. it got so embarrassing that goodell let quinn into his suite.
If I were being drafted, I probably wouldn't even go. I mean all you do is sit there. And for what, little to nothing. They should at least let them have a good time until they get called to the stage. Hire some comedians to do stand up or something. Tap them on the shoulder when ready. I'd much rather be at home in a comfortable environment.
I forget the name but wasn't there a lineman from Wisconsin or something that was drafted in the top 10 who was out fishing when he got the phone call? I remember the general story, but not the details.
