He is massive he fits a 3-4 middle backer would he even have the speed to cover anyone?

1.) I'm pretty anti-UNC after the last few years. I tend to think their guys were/are pretty low character, especially Coples. They packed it in for their bowl game. Across the board. Minimal effort getting ready for the game. Minimal effort during the game. I don't want quiters on the team.

2.) I was huge on Brown until I watched him play. He just didn't seem very physical. I don't think you can succeed at LB in the NFL that way. Even if he is step for step with Jimmy Graham/Hernandez/Gronkowski/whoever, my perception is that they'd just take the ball.

I think he is a high risk pick. Huge physicals and is going to kill it during workouts, but may not love football.

I do think the team needs a playmaker at OLB.

His speed is underrated, everyone talks about his size but he can run too.

Me too, seeing as I have next to NO interest in tomorrow's game. Giants vs. Patriots? Who cares? Both coaches and both QB's have won superbowls. I like seeing new blood.

It's not so much that I don't have interest in tomorrows game (any game is better than none) I'm just more interested in our future. Seeing how we are gonna look next season. I'm pretty excited to see our team after this coming draft and our decisions.

here is my mock....ill do one for if we dont sign finny and sign mario

    1. Janoris Jenkins-cb that is top 10 draft pick but falls do to his mary jane issues
    2. Brandon Thompson-very solid dt from clemson and could come in and play beside casey
    3. George Iloka-kind of a hybrid safety that could come in and start from day one if we need him too(which we will)
    3. (comp) William Vlachos-our future center enough said
    4. Keenan Robinson-olb that could replace spoon and possibly throughout this season if spoon has aged like he has been lately
    5. DeQuan Menzie-cb depth...you can never have to many and in the 5th it would be a bargain
    6. Chris Rainey-as someone mentioned before rainey is like sproles type player....excellent receiver out of the backfield
    7. Stephen Hill- big tall receiver that could come in as our number 4 from day one but can learn from nate and kenny, kids got some talent is just raw....

i realize now that i didnt take a de or another dt so you could sub in someone like jaye howard dt from florida in for menzie if they needed depth...or some dend but i would be stoked if this draft happened

I like the span of your mock. Hitting on a bunch of different areas and positions. Although it's not a draft I would really do myself if I was a GM for this team. The Jenkins pick is nice because of the talent level that could fall. A very doubtful pick for us I think. Even if we don't resign finny, I think the kid Hawkins made a good case to be the nickel corner when he played WELL against the saints.

Brandon Thompson is a good pick based on the Dline need, my second fav DT/NT prospect for us behind Martin. Iloka is an impressive prospect and a likely pick for us but Im not sure vlachos is a well thought out C prospect. He is a tad undersized and got moved pretty easy at the college level. He is a smart player tho from what I have read.

Robinson impressed me during his bowl game. Could be a very early contribution for us.
Menzie, another cb would be redundant. I'd rather swing at another DE. I wouldn't be surprised if we took 3 d lineman in this draft, one early DT and DE and a late DE hopefully.

The Rainey pick is interesting because its more of a slot receiver/3rd down spread back but I didn't really like his stride and he didn't show as much speed on tape as I'd have hoped for.

WR.. Again, I hope we spend more on the defense and another WR. A UDFA would make more sense I think, but it is a 7th so I can't complain a whole lot.

i said replace a dt or a dend for depth instead of menzie and we need a 3rd down back...cj doesnt have the greatest hands, we saw that last year...

Harper was supposed to be better 3rd down back. Hands wise. I guess we will see if he can do that this coming season. I did read you said replace the second cb with de or DT and that's what I was commenting on. I wasn't downgrading your mock, just commenting on my own views of it. So don't take it as me trying to be better or whatever at draftniking. So no worries.
