The TR guys are going to be mad about this one:

    Jim Wyatt@jwyattsports 23m
Charlie Whitehurst is the No.2 QB for the #Titans. Ken Whisenhunt made it clear he's confident in him

    Paul Kuharsky@PaulKuharskyNFL 24m
Whitehurst is No. 2, Whiz emphasizes. #titans

No surprises here ... Did anyone actually think that we would make a 6th rd rookie with no exp the back up ahead of someone with NFL experience in this system?

A big part of being the #2 QB is holding the clip board, coaching up the starter if he needs it between drives, and just not let things fall apart if you have to get some PT.

Right now the staff is looking at it as Locker is the starter and will play with out injuries ... If Locker gets injured then the plan will most likely change.

Plus isn't Mett coming off an injury that takes a while to heal (ACL?)? Wasn't surgery in Nov? I wouldn't expect him to be #2 this year.

If there wasn't a previous season where Reynaud was a solid returner, then I have no doubt he'd done something much sooner as he did with the second guy. Last season, he sat Brown for not doing his job. He sat Turner. Britt didn't see the field most of the second half of the season. That's just a few examples which debunks the theory Munch didn't hold players accountable.

Actually Much was a lot better for holding players accountable than Fisher. Though I think many of us would have liked to see him act sooner. Britt had no business even dressing for games by week 4. Much let that one go too long. Same with Tuner. That change should have been made much sooner. I know Schwenke was injured but Simpson was available.

Munch held people accountable. the reason he seemed to "wait forever" to bench guys is because he was giving them a chance to play their way out of their funk. Sometimes guys mentally aren't there for whatever reason and just need a little time to pull it together and be fine.

As a coach you can't just go benching guys left and right for making a mistake since it will make other players tighten up on the field for fear of making a mistake and getting the hook. He tried to give guys a chance and the repaid him by sucking even more. Even when he tried to do things the right way it all just turned to sh*t. Dude has the reverse midas touch, that's gotta suck.
