    He can, no doubt.

He just hasn't improved at all since coming to the league. His best season was his second season where he threw for almost 3000 yards. Now he barely makes 2500 yards passing.

    The falcons offense..

    http://www.ajc.com/services/content/sports/falcons/stories/2007/05/12/0513falcons.html

Most people around the nfl believe that vick was forced into a less than ideal system the last 3 years as opposed to playing in a system that makes the most use of his talents. Bobby petrino is a first rate offensive mind who always had high scoring teams at louisville. Petrino obviously sees something more in vick because they were willing to trade matt schaub.

They have joe horn who can be a good third down go to guy for them and perhaps the added maturity of their young Wrs will produce better results.

    20 Passes..

If vick completes just 20 more passes last year for an average gain of 10 yards per his passing rating goes up from 76 to 84. Joe horn alone could make up that difference..

Don't tell that to RollTide lol. Quoting W/L's for a qb tells you how good they are. We all know football is a 1 on 1 sport!

    2008..

Bullcrap because if vick was 5-11-1 vs the afc you would be the first to say that was evidence that he can't play with the big boys. When evaluating a QB there is nothing wrong with comparing wins and losses. Is it relative? Well to a point but the total average defensive ranking for the falcons in vick's 5 years as a starter is 23. Nobody in his right mind would say that vick has had great Wrs to throw to either. He is hardly winning games the dilfer way. Few nfl Qbs are as responsible for their teams success or failures than vick and no other QB gets blamed more if they lose. If he gets the blame for losing then give him credit when he wins which he has done 56% of the time.

Mike vick has been an nfl starting QB for 5 years. Only in one of those 5 years did he lose more games than he lost. Last year when he was 7-9.

In 03 he missed the first 11 games with a broken leg. The team record in those 11 games was 2-9. In their final 5 games with vick as a starter the falcons were 3-2. He wins football games..

    w/L for a QB..

All i know is that near the end of the 95 super bowl steve young bent down and asked his team mates to symbolically take the monkey off his back. He obviously felt the pressure of being blamed or credited with his team's success. We have seen post after post on this board about how manning chokes in the playoffs. I don't recall a single post that the indy colts choke in the playoffs. Can you deliver such a post? The colts had several hall of fame type players other than manning. Harrison, edge, freeney and other exceptional players like glenn, sanders, saturday wayne. Only manning was called a choker.

We have always judged QBs primarily on their ability to get wins for their football teams. Everyone should damn know that. We are high on vince young because he was 8-5 as a starter, because he delivered victories. There is only one nfl QB that is in the hall of fame that was mainly a loser. Sonny jergenson. And he doesn't belong there.
