I won't be mad at whoever the pick is because I have a lot more confidence in our FO after last years draft. Definitely one of our best classes.
Devon Still the 4th best DT? Interesting. I think it's because Still doesn't have a "high motor" and seems to give up on some plays. With the right DL coach, Still could be a star. Big fan of LaMichael James & Markelle Martin
No Burfict. I read Mayock has not been impressed AT ALL with Burfict. And my boy Sean Spence makes the cut
You know, I agree. 1st Round (#8) QB Jake Locker, Washington Had flashes of greatness, will be the QB we have been waiting for but for now, Hasselbeck starts. 2nd Round (#39) OLB Akeem Ayers, UCLA He by no means had a bad year; however, he needs to get faster and have better instincts out there. Overall, an acceptable year. I saw him break up some passes and get some QB hurries. I don't think he was properly utilized out there, as he is more of a blitzing LB. 3rd Round (#77) DT Jurrell Casey, USC Very impressed with Casey. He was in the backfield a lot last year and contributed early and often. He has the size and strength to justify us picking him in the 3rd. 4th Round (#109) LB Colin McCarthy, Miami What can I say about McCarthy that hasn't already been said already? The guy is the MLB of the future and I can't wait to see him season into a league leader eventually. 4th Round (#130) RB Jamie Harper, Clemson Meh. 5th Round (#142) DE Karl Klug, Iowa Leads the Titans in sacks. Although he isn't an every down DT, he still has a bright future ahead of him. I like his motor and ability to get to the QB. Pair him up with a better D-line and he would go CRAZY out there. 6th Round (#175) OT Byron Stingily, Louisville Dunno. 7th Round (#212) DT Zach Clayton, Auburn I hear the coaches are high on him but I doubt he'll see too much playing time. 7th Round (#251) S Tommie Campbell, California (PA) That return was epic. Campbell is fast but those penalties need to go. I'd like to see Fisher's draft for 11'...we would have been screwed.
Well when you have 4 guys start and all play well, its hard to knock that draft, or top it for that matter. I am not even counting how well Locker has impressed and Campbell playing decent, all things considered. Honestly, if our draft is just half as good as last years, I will be very impressed.
Glenn as the 5th best tackle? Interesting Ingram over Coples, Branch over Mercilus, Curry over Perry. I like Curry but 20th would be a reach. Interesting DT rankings also No Burflict is obviously the biggest surprise I like Mayock's insight usually
Expecting to have another draft like last years is pushing it, normally you get 1-2 guys that make up your team for years, and the other 5 or so just fill holes. We hit the jackpot last April.
