You really think he's going to restructure his contract? Just take less money because he's not doing well?? No.. are you kidding me! He held out to get money, he got his money, he doesn't care - he's not taking a paycut to stay in TN.

It's possible that, even with a severe paycut, the Titans will still offer him more than other teams.

If he thinks he's going to get cut and then get another huge contract on the open market, he's in for a rude awakening.

I doubt he cares about much more than getting the hell out of Chris Palmer's offense right now. He could always prove he's worth a chunk of money if he is. Unfortunately, this offense is so atrocious, he'll have to do so somewhere else if he does.

He won't be traded. No team is dumb enough to take on that contract, nevermind his piss-poor performance on the field.

And I don't see a restructure happening either. Unless CJ is willing to come way, way, WAY down. And we all know "History Deal" Johnson would not be willing to do that.

My hate for CJ aside, I believe this team really is better off just cutting the Playmaker outright. We pretty much need a complete overhaul of the OL anyway. And CJ is way past his prime. So what's the point? Might as well start all over.

I am praying to the football Gods, and some other Gods too that some idiot team comes around and takes him from us.

How is this any of Chris Palmers fault? How do you fault a guy who chooses to abandon the run when the oline and cj are too incompetent to execute the plays needed. I mean we have a 4th string (would be on most teams) at Center. If this was Fisher's team cj would have more yards sure but we'd still be losing. On top of that we wouldn't be making any head way into a more pass heavy offense.

I feel like Palmer is doing his best with what we have. Grey on the other hand... That seems like a different story when I consistently see our safeties 30 to 40 yards from the line.

CJ needs a convoy of blockers, Fisher got this and had blockers on the move, Palmer wants his RB to break tackles, juke guys, and show some heart. CJ is not that kind of player. So it's both Palmers fault for not seeing that, and CJ's fault for not being able to adjust.

I really don't blame Palmer anywhere near as much as Gray. (Gray or Grey, btw?) We're consistently down by multiple TDs by halftime. No offense is built to work effectively in those conditions.

You couldn't be more right about everything you just said. My only question is, how is it CJs fault that he was stuck in a scheme that doesn't work for him? It's like telling Dwight Howard to play face up center. Same position, completely different style, won't be effective. A dude who's 5'11" and less then 200 lbs can't simply 'adjust' and start breaking tackles. CJ is at his best when he hits the hole and has a single linebacker/ safety to beat. We miss having a FB, we miss having extra TE's and effective pull blocking off the line. And we DEARLY miss having a quality center.
