Not at all a surprise given they are struggling to sell the console and no one makes games for Kinect but some people are pissed and want to trade in to get a PS4.

Seriously, is this even a big deal? I get the back-flipping and stuff but it's not really a deal-breaker to go swapping consoles.

I think it's more the lies and back tracking (though every company does this) and the ones complaining are the people who went out and bought a day 1 console after Microsoft said they would never do this, blah blah blah.

    It's the typical gamer over-reaction.

Microsoft has been doing nothing but back-peddling since Sony gave them their death sentence at E3 2013.

This is the first smart move they've made since dropping the DRM requirements.

    Are people buying either console?

I don't know a single person that has either of them.

Just very little to be excited about unlike usual with "next gen" systems.

    The visual jump isn't there.

My friend has one and his brother has the other. They share a house together and have them both set up. The friend with the PS4 has spent as much time playing his PS3 since he got the PS4. Just not enough games for it. He is disappointed the World Cup game will not be on the next gen. I have another friend that got an Xbox One on launch day and now refers to it as a very expensive paper weight. My boss though also got one on launch day and has only played it. Which may be more out of stubbornness.

The visual difference I have noticed is in the little things. The details. In sports games for example. The crowd looks far more detailed, more life-like.
