His poor play last year was actually mainly the product of off the field issues he was dealing with, and it distracting him and affecting his on field performance. Had nothing to do with the scheme. He also had 3 different injuries last year.

I'm happy to see Griffin bounce back, I knew he could.

 

He is a very dangerous player for offenses to worry about. He catches the ball when he gets the chance and knows what to do with it after he catches it.

He also learns what the offense is doing during the course of the game and gets most of his picks in the 2nd half.

 

Yep. I honestly believe he's our best defensive player right now, with JJ being a close second.

I'll give your boy Fisher some credit here.... he's really put together a great defensive unit without having any superstar names. It's hard to believe that the only real difference between this year's defense and last year's pathetic one is Witherspoon instead of Bulluck, Babin instead of KVB and a rookie corner.
