Mettenburger's QB Metric Data

Rusty Smith was selected earlier in the 6th round than Mettenberger, so when I see people complaining about the pick I just smh.

And this is coming from someone who really, really wanted Murray with either of our picks in the 4th or our 5th.

 

Mettenburger is Kerry Collins 2.0 zzz

 

If Mettenberger has the career of Kerry Collins we hit a grand slam.

Yea... Collins was the #5 pick. Mettenberger went #178.

I obviously hope Mett is better than KFC, but as I keep saying - a legit backup QB is well worth a 6th round pick.

 

The upside is great for a 6th. For some stupid ass reason people believe teams make out with starters passed round 5. It's really rare.

Arizona took a bigger risk/upside guy with the 4th? Or 5th? In Logan Thomas... Really. We should be happy we at least tried

Agreed, I can't believe the analysts were blowing the Cards for that pick. Dude is a MAJOR project and I had him rated after McCarron, Murray, and Mett.

Meh, yes and no.

Kerry Collins has a solid body of work, but not one spectacular or even impressive season in 17 seasons.

Only way I'd say its a "grand slam" is because what 6th rounder has ever seen 40,000-yards.. (Dont say Tom Brady)

If Mettenberger produces those kinds of numbers yes, its a grand slam. But dont call Kerry Collins a grand slam.
