Meet Goober

I really love my new cat... an orange/white shorthaired mutt cat. However, his smoking habit is really starting to piss me off.

 

Yeah I hear you on both accounts. The guy in the pic (Royce) has had tons of different medical problems. He is only 4 and has cost me alot. Probably close to 2500 in vet bills. Compared to my bigger,older guy who has gotten his shots and that's pretty much it. Night and day comparing the two.

My older guy woke up a couple of months ago and couldn't get up at all. It scared us because we thought there would be a chance he had to be put down. I hated the thought. After the vet ****** me left right and center things played out and he has been better. It all worked out now and he seems better but the thought was there. I dread the day.:hmm:

 

We never really found out. I was working when my G/F woke up to see him and of course the woman freaks out when he can't get up and stand. It was like his back legs were paralyzed. So she took him to a vet who ends up charging us $450.00 for $12.00 worth of steroids and this gem of advice " Give him the steroids and don't take him out for physical exercise for two weeks. Also if you want to get a thorough exam on his spine ( or some area I can't remember ) we can send him down to Vancouver to a professional". Wow I thought. My dog can't stand so you tell me too avoid physical activity with him? :grrr: No ****.


So in the end we let it ride out and after a couple of days he started coming around and now seems fine.

That was the last dog I had. And the last one I'll have until I get a fenced in back yard. He was too energetic to be indoors and too much of an explorer to be outside.
