Well that flat out sucks. Almost wish I didn't know this was taking place, it's sad stuff.

 

That is super cold-blooded. She has a right to be upset because Steve was screwing around on her, but there's no reason to take it out on an innocent person.

Titanium, Diehard Dave told me once that he was traveling through Mississippi and looked up where Mrs. McNair's farm was and stopped. He rang the intercom at the gate and told her he was Diehard Dave, he had met her before when she was with Steve in Nashville at a signing. She remembered "Diehard Dave" and buzzed him in. Some other McNair family members were there, they showed him typical southern hospitality and invited him back anytime, because a fan of Steve was a friend of theirs. Diehard said she told him how Steve loved the farm, riding a tractor, and she obviously loved the farm too. She probably has great memories of Steve there, and it's horrible to think she has to leave there and be upset at her age now.
