Maybe waiving Blount was for the better?

You sure about that? Week-1 vs the Lions Blount only had 15 yards on 5 carries. That kind of production wouldn't have helped us.

Every team in the league could have thrown a 7th round flier at Blount, none did.
It came down to Ringer or Blount. Ringer is a better receiver, blocker and all around smarter, less violent 3rd down back.

Blount starts and has 16 receptions for his career. 2 of those catches ended in lost fumbles. Ringer has 27 receptions this season.

Tennessee has a top 5 RB as it's starter. Tampa is 4-8 with maybe the worst RB roster in the league. Tampa's coach is a Mike Tomlin wannabe without the great results.

Blount will be out of the league by 2013 and Vince Young always was and always will be a false idol.

Ringer might be a better receiver, but the position is "running back" and Ringer can't hold a candle in comparison there.

Why are people thinking that Blount could have made a difference in a game this year. He still wasn't going to start. If nobody claimed him he would have been on our practice squad last year.

The biggest difference i see Blount making short term is that we would not have used a 4th rd pick on Harper had we still had him.

I don't expect every player to be a boy scout and if he is not engaged in criminal behavior or the kind that gets him suspended then it is a weak argument to say it was the right move.

We have a "running back" that would start over Blount no matter what team or coach they were on. You don't add to that a guy who struggles to pass protect or catch passes on 3rd down especially when CJ himself is at best average at those two things.

Add to that the violent outbursts and it was an easy decision.
when Tampa is behind in a game Blount is rendered useless.

You're a Blount fan, we get it, just say it. 32 teams decided NOT to draft Blount and even if the reason came down to the Boise St. incident he did it yet again in Nashville before ever playing a game. there is no argument.

Teammates do that all the time, punch, push, fight, in TC... It is training camp, you should expect it.

Blount just got called out on it because he did it once on national television.

    Fixed that crap for you.

The lengths that you will go to to find an excuse to stroke Fishers nut sack never ceases to amaze me.
