Mawae on rookie contracts

Glad that these opinions are getting out more and more. Creating a structure would be better for teams and for veteran players. Both sides should want this. Upshaw's comments a few weeks ago didn't make sense.

 

yeh they r outa control.....read that article...they seriously need to do something bout those crazy contracts

n for the record i don like feely's comment at pacman...and that i will always think of pac as a titan first

Ryan is going to be the most resented player in the league. Every team he goes against will come out with a huge grudge to knock him down, and even his own team will resent how much he's getting paid.
I bet he's a bust...

 

Players shouldn't resent Ryan. They should resent the system that produces these screwed up deals and work to fix it.

 

How in heck did the NBA manage to get a structured system considering they are probably more prima donna than NFL players.

The whole concept of such contracts is so extremely alien to me. I can't comprehend the kind of stupidity that would make anyone even consider such a deal, and any agent who would present it should be repeatedly nadkicked.
