Its ok, I high-fived you for thinking like me
Over Rusty as a #3.. sure. But, I could see him returning to GB.
Should we make a call?
I'm not giving up on Fitzpatrick, I don't think he was as bad as his numbers (the last int wasn't a bad throw), but if we're actually thinking about picking up Jamarcus Russell, at least give Flynn a call.
I'd take him over Rusty.
And with Jake being oft-injured, it wouldn't be a bad insurance policy.
Fitz will be fine though.
I don't see how we can assuredly say Fitz will be fine after that performance. His recent history and that 57 QB rating isn't exactly instilling confidence going forward. He could turn it around I guess, but from what I witnessed Sunday, he's going to have to come a long way in seven days.
I don't think people are near reasonable about the backup QB position nor his performance Sunday.
What fans are expecting from a guy's 1st game in the NFL vs the best pass defense with no run game.. I have no clue.
What about if we just take a QB in the first or second round of the draft next year? Fitz/Locker insurance. Ya never know who the guy could turn out to be.
With Lockers recent success, even with his injury history, I seriously doubt that happens.
It's not nearly his first game in the NFL, and he was incredibly inaccurate. Why can we not count on a eight year veteran to be better than that?
Yea it is for sure doubtful, but look at what Eagles, Packers, Seahawks, 49ers were able to do with an additional QB that showed value. Hell, Patriots seem to do it every 5 years.
Grabbing a QB not only gives us options at one of the most valuable position, but it also gives us coveted trade bait that yields great interest on return. Out of all the positions to take a chance on it would seem that QB would be a good one.
