I figured I'd just recommend this movie from 1985 for people who may not have seen it. It's a true story about a kid in California who was born with lionitis....just have to see it for yourself. Really good movie.

Huh must be a smack forum thing. They have the real pic of the kid of the wiki page.

I guess the experience of watching this move is kinda like watching the Elephant Man movie, although it's been a very long time since I saw that one.

It is a very moving film.

I think Stolz is a very underused & under rated actor.

He did a fine job in that movie....and really so did Cher. Sam Elliott was good as usual.

Definitely one of those hard hitting movies that gives you some perspective of life.

It's playing on HBO every once in awhile now.

    A great movie!

Very human and while tragic as hell depicting a 17 year old kid who dies it is also very uplifting.

That's what makes the film because it is such a feal good movie until that night.

Cher's performance was terrific and this established her as a serious actress and she won an oscar for moonstruck 2 years later.

I thought the scenes with eric stoltz in pulp fiction were hilarious.

And his brother died from AIDS from a blood transfusion. Man that is one unlucky family.
