Nate's cool and all, but he isn't nearly as good as Kenny Britt....Britt's a #1 on most teams when he's healthy, no way he's going to be under the radar.

Nate has produced big for us. That's respectable and has also taken a leadership role. He deserves his spot

Actually ALL of our WR's have earned the right to come back and keep their jobs. Even Hawkins who I do not think will come back. He'll get too good an offer to stay a 4th string Titan.

I'm so glad so many of you realize that we need to get another WR in here somehow. People on the radio and a few on this board keep bringing up the face that "Britt will be back" like he's going to remain healthy the entire season (which he has not done in his 3 years with us) and like having him will answer all of our needs there.

I do think however, now that I think about it, that we need a different type of receiver than Kenny. To me Kenny is a more physical, big bodied WR. I'm thinking we may need to get someone who's more of a speed guy who can give teams a different look. I really like Kendall Wright from Baylor. He's really fast and reminds me of Wallace from Pitt. If we could land him in the 2nd round, I think he'd be a steal. I agree with the poster (I think it was JC) who said we need to go WR within the first two picks.

I don't think we need a WR bad enough to go break the bank on a Colston or a Bowe type WR in free agency. Britt will be back next season and i think he will be fine from his ACL surgery. Washington has earned his keep as a #2 WR. Williams and Hawkins have maid plays this season and if you element Cooks boneheaded plays he is one hell of a weapon at TE. Add in maybe we will have a QB with a arm instead Hasselbeck and his wet noodle next year and we have a decent passing attack

I do agree we need to ad a WR next year but nothing more than a mid round pick should be spent on a WR. our main Focus should be improving the running game. We need to upgrade from Scott and Amano and add a Power Back to spell CJ. Then after that we need DE help, a NT, and a new FS.

In closing i think we have to many other needs to focus on a WR

Good points. My reasoning behind taking a receiver in this class is the value. A mid round pick this year could be 2nd round talent because it's so deep. Unless there is a run on em and then of course we will come up short. But you are correct, we do have other needs.

As much as i hate to admit it i think Kenny Britt will need to be replaced eventually because he can't stay healthy long enough.Britt could be a monster at WR but he stays injured too much.I would love to see Britt come back and dominate in all sixteen games next season but the odds aren't good that he will stay healthy.I think we definitely need to grab a WR either through free agency or the draft. We need depth at that spot if Locker is going to have success next season.

Nah, what I said was we should acquire another WR via free agency, it was Ensconatus who wants us to address WR early in the draft.

My reasoning for not wanting to take that route to add another WR is because it'll take that rookie at least all of 2012 to get acclimated to our scheme. Just look at Donnie Avery for example. Fine talent, but he's just not familiar enough with our stuff to contribute. A 2nd or 3rd round WR isn't jumping in like A.J. Green and lighting it up, it would take that new kid too long to be a factor. We'd be better off keeping Hawkins IMO than to add a 2nd day WR to the mix.

But if we go get one of the free agent WR's, he'll have the offseason to catch up to what we're trying to do. That guy would also be NFL ready from playing in the NFL for some time. A rookie, not so much.

I want us to go get an interior lineman so we can actually operate on Sundays and not have only 40 rushing yards. Being able to effectively run the ball will open everything up. Play action will work again, baiting that 8th man in will open up the deep ball, maintaining possession will keep the D fresh, etc. That's what I'd hope for, a big nasty Center who will anchor that line for years to come. Would be good for Locker also to get a great young center he can work with for 10 years.

I don't think a 2nd on a wr would be a good idea personally, but maybe a third or later depending who is still on the board. Both o and d lines are priority tho. Stop the run, and start our run and we will be contenders pretty quick I think.
