Okay...There is a big difference between what Vince did and what Manning did. Vince put the blame on his shoulders...whether it was his to bear or not...that is what kind of leader he is. And by not talking to the media, he didn't say anything....especially anything negative about his teammates.... But did Peyton Manning ever apologize for calling out his O'line? We all do stupid things when we're mad...but most of us have to be held accountable for those things. He may have apologized to them...in fact he probably did...but do you recall how much the media talked about the remarks he made about his own teammates? He never once metioned that he should take part of the blame...that is what a true leader would have done. He certainly didn't play a perfect game...any QB can be more effective if he is protected better. I just thought that was a classless selfish thing to do.

Look, we're not going to see eye to eye on this...so I will just agree to disagree with you. But I'm not alone when I say that Peyton is a whiney baby that will gladly throw his team under the bus when the poop hits the fan. He is a great QB, probably the best PLAYER at the position ever...but he's also a hall of famer at making excuses.

    It is.

But, it's never called on Manning when he goes through everything he goes through at the line of scrimmage. He moves lateral to the line of scrimmage (as he's flapping his arms) while he's suppossed to be under the Center.

As far as I'm concerned, that's a penalty. But, it's never been called on him.

I think they think of it like motion...you can go parallel, just not forward. Who knows, maybe it's just because it is Peyton Manning.

Its never called on anybody. Peyton isnt the only QB that moves up and down the line. I dont know if it is a penalty or not, I would assume not since its not called on anybody, but that certainly isnt something that only Peyton does.

the other 10 guys have to be set or it would be illegal motion. Only 1 guy can be moving at a time prior to the snap.

Wow...a rare insightful post from GoT. That's one in a row, I believe.

Since the Colts don't use motion as a part of their offense Peyton can move all he wants. C'mon, guys, you can hate Peyton if you want but you don't really believe they'd let him get away with all of his movements for nearly 10 years if it was illegal do you? Sheesh...you guys have some serious inferiority complex issues if you do.

    :ha:
You were trying to be funny there, right? The title of your thread leads me to believe you were, indeed, trying to bash him. Whassamatter...you think it was Peyton that broke into your truck or somethin'?

The flag should have been thrown on that one. You had guys in street clothes out in the middle of the field. If it would've been the Colts doing that you guys would all be screaming for a flag, too.

well, the league did "put an emphasis" on some rules because a certain team cried to the league about it. but no, i dont think it's illegal, he isnt simulating a natural play motion.
