To me, the most interesting part of this entire fiasco is what will end up happening in San Fran. Harbaugh got caught with his pants down and he may end up not only losing out on the Manning sweepstakes but losing his starting QB as well. On top of that, he preached all this loyalty and trust bullcrap that will surely make him look like an idiot.

I see this as the fall of the Harbaugh 49ers personally. I really hope Alex Smith signs in Miami.

Wells or Meyers would have been a HUGE upgrade over what we have on hand now...HUGE.

Amano is just not good. If we stay with just Hutch as an addition....wont be hard to figure out who we will be running behind.

This is funny as heck reading all of these comments ...

Lot of you are saying; "Manning is dead to me" "He is a whiner" "Greedy" "Slapin the face"
"Coward" and the list goes on ... These comments here would tell an outsider that the average age is pushing 16 ??? You guys are better than that ... No need to be Butt hurt

The guy did nothing more than any of you would do... He made a business decision based on what he deemed important for his family, future, and financials... Right, wrong, or indifferent Whether you were pro Peyton or not it was his decision to make

The Colts flat sucked last year devoid of talent and decided to clean house and cut him ... Lot of speculation and rumors about him re-structuring, but from what I have gathered he was not given that option and a new direction was taken.... Hope it works out...

Your owner Bud Adams approached Manning not the other way around and he at least considered the Titans as opposed to a flat out "no thanks" as the Seahawks heard...

Regardless of all that just beat the @%$# out of the Texans this year :grrhee:

He made a business decision and I have no problem with that. I will continue to hate him, possibly even more now that he screwed us over in free agency (part of the blame is on Bud too, like you said).

I think this came down to power and control on Manning's part. They basically have stated now that he is going to pretty much run the offense from the line of scrimmage. Elway has basically paid for a co-OC and QB in one package.

Manning would have had to run someone else's offense in SF or TN...

I believe that is what it boiled down to. I don't see him ever taking orders from an OC. He is making more money than some countries have and Elway will let him run the offense. Then he will give him part ownership after retirement. I'm glad he took their offer and not Bud's.

i still dont get the denver decision. You guys said it's about the money, but didn't Bud said he was going to hand Manning a blank check and pay whatever for him? and don't Denver just run the ball like 80% of the time. And who do they have at WR?

    Demayrius Thomas
    Fells?
    ??????????????

I'm excited for Locker though :)

^ Fells went to New England

I agree it's NOT a money decision. That's what makes it SO confusing

Only explanation is the extremely weak division.
