A decent year? He was 8-2 as a starter on a team with almost no defense.
Until the bye week our defense played terribly. Gave up...

Aside from Mark Sanchez, every single quarterback passed for over 300 yards, and half of those were closer to 400 than they were 300.
After the bye week they gave up:
13, 27, 17, 17, 17, 27, 7, 24, 42, 13 (average of 20 pts per game)
Only 2 QB's passed for 300+ yards in all 10 of these games.
To say that any one person on the offensive side of the ball was the reason for the 0-6 to 8-2 transformation is taking a major shot at our defense, which was clearly the biggest factor.
