We bought our first Mac last year (a Macbook) and I have to say I've been real impressed with it so far. I had some reservations about it at first (I was a big PC gamer), but most games I like for the PC I can play on the Macbook with Crossover Games or Parallels Windows which allows you to run windows on your system. I however, would recommend getting something with at least 4 GB Memory if you choose to run Parallels so you can run both smoothly, I only have 2 GB on the Macbook and it runs well for normal office stuff, but games (Spore, CS in my case) don't run as smoothly as I'd like it too on the 1 GB shared RAM.

Anyways, PC vs. Mac is entirely a personal preference and I'm sure either choice will be a good decision considering it will be brand new. Macs can be pricey though for what you could comparably get on a Windows based Laptop which is always important to take into consideration.

I suppose PCs might buckle under the pressure of Asian porn...since we are making a point about your PC.

Yeah, I know exactly what you mean. Personally, I run Linux Fedora and Windows 7 Beta; I'm trying to convince my brother to switch to Linux because of all the encoding etc that he does. He tried it out on my computer and said it's too hard. I'm thinking WTF??, because once you get used to it, it is actually much quicker and effiecent than Windows is. You can't make something better by producing an exact replica of it; changes have to be made to improve something. Some people are just scurred of change, and equate "different" with "inferior".

THIS JUST IN FROM THE TECH DEPT:

    For those who read moviepooper.com:
Last night, I got an ad pop-under that, if I had been using Windows, would have installed one of the XP Antivirus variants. It appears his ad server has been hijacked.

    Proceed with caution.

BTW, just to help out: If I blatantly advertise that I like Asian women (not porn, mind you) then it's not an insult to accuse me of it. Try another angle ;)
