Someone in operations in the front office must be getting the message - and perhaps reading these posts. FINALLY, down and distance showing up on the main screens. Hardly any of Phil Vasser's band, and no Phil Vasser. And, most importantly, Pain Train is back. Yeah, it's a lift of the old spot - Bud likely doesn't want to renew the license - but it was great to see dude again
I never saw down and distance on the jumbos. I may have missed it. They're doing a better job with the music and other stuff. The "300" movie clips are very cool. The Steelers fan sitting beside me watched the entire game on the jumbo--even when the play was happening right in front of us. Weird.
I have too hold my hand up too block the ginormous video. I find it distracting when Im trying too watch the game, probably just me though
I noticed that, too!!! The screens are so big that it makes you WANT to watch the game on the screen. Although I'm morally against that, as I paid 50 bucks in gas, and 20 bucks for the ticket to go see the game... shouldn't be watching it on a big TV. And Jeff, the down and distance was small, on the upper left hand side of the screen, right under the score.
I saw it sometimes in the Lions game. Seems like they flashed it up there right before the snap instead of it being something that stays up constantly like the one on the ribbon. I also noticed that one would have 3rd-and-4 and the other 3rd-and-5.
I noticed, too, that whoever is directing the in-house cameras, sucks. On the Steelers TD run, they didn't show the run on-screen until the guy was already in the end zone. They were showing some stupid fans cheering thing. They seem to miss the beginning of plays often. Always thought that5 showing the game was the top priority unfortunately "TURN IT UP" is still going.... people cheer for the beginning, and realize that it's just a crappy loop. And they overdo the loop of Usher's "OMG" way too much. It's just the drum part on unending loop.
You guys need to get yourself a pair of horse blinders. Then you wont be distracted by the Titantron. Imagine if your were in Dallas.. I'd never watch the field.
