Lowry and Fuller Getting Opportunity at Free Safety

The first year that we got Lamont from the Bengals, this guy WAS a wrecking crew. He played sparingly that year. The first two guys he hit, he put them out of the game. I remember saying that he could hit like Blaine 'Pitbull' Bishop. But the following year, something happened and he lost that fire and it doesn't look like its coming back.​

Yeah- that first year he made "Jacked up" with a monster hit. But then again, so many other players did awesome their FIRST year under Schwartz.

 

Let's hope this isn't true with Lowry.
I think some of these guys work their arses off to get the job, when they get it they think their stuff no longer stinks.

 

I hope Lowry wins he can hit and sounds like his coverage skills are much improved but if he wins what does this do to Griffins career..........a full time CB? Uhh man.........This sucks Griff better become an all pro CB.

 

Yep, it's pretty sad when you see an article about the battle for safety and 3-4 guys are mentioned to be competing, but your first round pick that happens to be a safety is left out.

Lamont had a neck injury in college, and some Bengals fans said he looked afraid to hit while he was there. I don't know, but a few big hits doesn't mean **** to me. Even if a guy makes a lot of big hits, but sucks in coverage (Roy Williams), I'd rather have a good all around S (Ed Reed). Maybe Shwartzcake disagrees.
