Now wait a minute. I said he won't be able to plant or make cuts without discomfort. How do you perceive that as "dramatic". That's reality dude.

Additionally, (and this may be what you take exception to) I think we are most definitely drafting a QB with our 1st or 2nd pick. (Maybe 3rd if we trade down with our 1st.) I don't know how any new coach with a mandate to win can trust Locker who has such a history of being physically brittle.

Locker HAS accuracy issues. Just htf do you think is going to be able to address his mechanics when is barely able to plant to his foot right now? And you are misguided if you don't think he will have discomfort in that foot for the next several months.

Can Locker make a "miraculous" and complete turnaround in his durability and accuracy? Yes. We've heard the same damn comments about how he's going to work on his accuracy and how healthy he feels during the past 2 off-seasons. It isn't just "bad luck".

Discomfort is a small little tiny thing, grown man like Jake can handle a little discomfort. Ive had this injury, even at its worst it was never debilitating, just an annoying pinching sensation.

And reason for me saying youre overreacting is because you have maintained all along of how horrible this injury is. Its really no worse than the next thing. Sure Id trade a lisfranc for a ankle sprain but come on, he had the surgery, and has shed the protective boot. He will be ready to compete by summer.

It is a horrible injury. And Jake's was bad enough to require surgical repair. He hasn't been bearing weight on it for how many months up until now? But he is superhuman, so I'm certain his group muscles haven't atrophied a bit and he hasn't compensated his weight bearing in other ways.

All I've said is that it is unreasonable to expect him to be able to be at full strength by training camp. Couple that with a new offense and his remedial "accuracy" work and you tell me the likelihood he performs.

Your Jake Locker blinders are as large as TWW2's for CJ. You got it bad.

I have to agree. Locker has such a large battle ahead of him.

I do not have blinders on, Im totally behind drafting a QB to push for Lockers job. I simply know the injury first hand, its annoying to go thru, but wont stop an NFL QB with NFL doctors from playing games in the summer and fall. The surgery was over 5 months ago!

I've been lockers biggest fan, but we have to hege our bet. Take Bridgwater in the first or murray in the second.

If locker cements the franchise QB role, great, we have a cheap young backup and or trade bait. Otherwise, we start grooming the rookie now.

You know there are various degrees of injury right?

Hell, Phillips played through his, and Locker was placed on IR.

True, but I just cant see how Locker lets this injury keep him from playing. I understand the caution hes taking, after all he does have a lot on the line, but if I can play basketball with a lisfranc, he can play QB with his. He had his foot repaired, now all he has to do is regain trust in his abilities.

Locker is done imo....... He has too much to overcome in his contract year with injuries, accuracy issues and lack of development. Draft a qb and move on. Sh** if he becomes a backup in this league I hope the team has a good 3rd string QB ready to go!
