I bet if he wasn't carted off the field no one would be worried. well it looks to me like that was a super precautionary move, since there was a hip problem. no one wanted him to bo Jackson himself, get him off the field. I read a common reason for overnight hospital visits is to get iv for pain meds so they can assess different injuries. not a big deal. if hes cleared from contact he should be fine.

"He can play," Munchak said Thursday, per The Tennessean. "It is just a matter of ... is he quite ready? There is no doubt the more you rest, the more you take off, the stronger your (knee) is going to feel. But it doesn't mean you can't play in the meantime."

Bernard Pollard is lobbing media sound bites that don't mean anything. The reality off the situation is if we lose to the 49ers we are 3-4 with 5 divisional games left and two head to head wins over other potential wildcard teams. In all likelihood Denver will beat Indy which puts us one game behind them with two games to play against them.

After our bye week we play St. Louis, Jacksonville, Indy, @Oakland, @Indy, @Denver, Arizona, @Jacksonville, and Houston. I count 5 games right off the bat were we have the more talented squad which means if we split with Indy and beat Houston we most likely finish 10-6 which may win us our division and 9/10 wins a wildcard.

For the sake of comparison Indy has Denver then a bye, afterwards they play Houston, St. Louis, @Winners, @Arizona, Winners, @Cinncy, Houston, @KC, Jacksonville. If Houston gets they're crap together then the only game I'd call a gimmie there is Jacksonville and Arizona and even then they have to play Arizona out west.

Yeah...its not like he can ever re-injure that knee or hip. I think they only injure once then are good forever.

Whether Jake plays or not his toughness should not be questioned anymore. If he does not play it will be due to a coach's decision not Jake's. You can be the toughest S.O.B out there but if the coach says you sit, then you sit period.

As much as I want Locker to play this Sunday, I think it would be best to keep the guy with the beard in for this game.

I think Munch is just trying to keep the 49ers on their toes, so the 49ers would have to game plan for Locker and the guy with the beard.

Probably best to let locket sit out one more game. Rather lose one more game than get him hurt and put on IR

    From The Zone:

Locker got more snaps than Fitz today.

Walker says Locker looked good. Moving well.

    Still questionable.
