There has been a lot of talk about how many early picks the Titans have invested at WR without a lot to show for it (though that sort of seems to be turning around finally), but it's time to start talking about how it's the same thing at LB. What is the front office even doing? Do the Titans have a single decent starter at LB?

Zaviar Gooden - 2013 3rd round - too early to say
Zach Brown - 2012 2nd round - sucks, just got benched
    Akeem Ayers - 2011 2nd round - bust, invisible
    Colin McCarthy - 2011 4th round - never healthy
Moise Fokou - free agent acquisition - just a guy

That is a bleak situation, man. Probably need to replace all those guys if this team is to become a contender.

High chance of a linebacker getting drafted with another early pick in 2014. Maybe C.J. Mosley.

I guess Brown's so awesome the coaches just had to bench him for 3 quarters yesterday, right?

    Check your facts, man.

The same coaches benched Justin Hunter for the first half of the season and played Britt.

Who they bench is not indicitive of their ability.

Many would say the LBs were a strength last season with big upside. It would be good to hear the media ask Gray/Williams for some explanation for the drop off in production.

These are the same coaches who benched Hunter the week after he has his biggest game because he broke "team rules".

However these are the same coaches who never benched Britt after he was involved in several incidents that were way beyond "team rules".

In fairness to Finny above , you've got a Head Coach that can't actually remember whether he is awesome or not or what he actually did do in the game. Don't also forget how stellar our LB coach is too. Even if we have drafted some quality turds , they are not going to stop stinking under his watch and thats a sureity.

ProFootballFocus grades Brown as one of the worst 4-3 OLBs in the NFL.

Again... facts. Please deal in them.

The coaching staff sucks. We all know that. That doesn't somehow mean their decision to bench Brown was wrong. He is having a horrible 2nd half of the season.

Ayers was really active the first half of last year. When Brown emerged, his role changed. He got some sacks, but he made less plays. That really wasn't a problem, because Brown was really active.

Brown has still gotten tackles this year, but I think he has sort of gone through motions this year. He hasn't been good, he hasn't been active, and he isn't making a lot of plays. He has definitely regressed. I'm starting to question his heart.

We definitely need an LB or two....maybe a veteran leader type AND a relatively high pick.

The same staff that benches CJ when he is getting things going to play Greene and slow down the drive.

Yeah... Brown has shown he has the talent, he should've been kept out there.

But, it's a moot point since I feel the LB coaching has, pretty much, regressed this group.
