Cut CJ, take the money from that and the money we wont use on Steven Jackson, and sign some quality offensive linemen, pick a 6th round runningback from Alabama Tech that broke some sort of record in college and sign him for dirt cheap and let him run behind a stout offensive line like Alfred Morris in Washington.

I'm in agreement with the group that says to never pay for a RB again. I want to be the Broncos of the late 90s and early 2000s when they would just plug in any 5th rounder that year and get 1200+ yds(Mike Anderson,Terrell Davis, Olandis Gary, Clinton Portis).

100% agree... and this is exactly what the Texans are currently doing... Of course, I'm sure you know Kubiak was the one with the Broncos when they were having all that success.

Some of their blocking schemes are cheap and dangerous to d-linemen though.

If we want a power back, draft one. There will be plenty of them to be had late in the draft. Definitely not a back going into his 10th year who will probably get paid pretty well.

Brave, put the Jack Daniels down my dude. I am a firm believer of RB self life. I would rather get a young Lattimore and pay the rookie cap. That would be much cheaper than going after a 30 year old RB. That's like Emmitt with the cardinals.
