He's not coming to Tennessee. The whole reason the Rams voided his final year was out of respect. They know they're not a Super Bowl team, and they wanted to give S-Jax a chance at one. He will sign with a contender, get less carries, and extend his career a couple years.

Sure it helps. But this team just has so many other issues right now. I don't think our backup RB is what's costing us wins.

Let me put it this way. If we go out and upgrade our safeties, OL, DL and still have plenty of money left over, then by all means sign S Jax.

I definitely think he's worth looking at. We have always lacked an effective power back. But I'm sure at this stage Jackson will be looking to play for a team that looks Super Bowl bound for his last couple of years like LT tried to do.

So we should sign a RB when he's 30 years old? How many are very productive after 30? He doesn't have much more than a year or two left at most and we're not doing anything this year or next so it would be a waste. We need younger players.

Not a backup RB. A Change of pace back. It will make things easier for CJ if we switch it up now and then. We are making it too easy on oppsing defences. In addtion this changeup back will improve TOP which has been terrible ever sinec Lendale left. Improve TOP will help our D significantly. Plus, a physical back will allow the OL to beat up on opposing DL and LB more which will wear them down and make things easier for our OL.

I agree that SS and DE are in serious need of an upgrade too. However we cannot ignore the need for a power back.

You make a good point. However we are talking about brining him in for 5-10 carries a game. Hammer him at the D a little bit to soften them up and make things easier for CJ and the OL.
