Leslie Nielsen Dead

RIP. And no, I won't call you Shirley.

 

I listened to a radio show on the way to a jobsite today, and the show played some of Nielson's best one liners...besides the "Shirley" line, my favorite was from Naked Gun, when a criminal was delivering a message to him, and he shouted back "I can't hear the message...next time do not shoot your gun when you are talking".....just classic, nearly wrecked the car.

He will be missed.

Agreed, that video I posted ... skip to 5:54. That scene is hilarious.

 

It's good if you like Neilson and Zucker comedies. It's basically Naked Gun, although it's toned down a bit sometimes with the humor. Neilson isn't nearly as absurd, but he's still got the deadpan silliness. Lot of background visual gags. The show didn't last more than a season, so it's cheap.

Oh, and Norberg (OJ Simpson) is a white dude.

I think Police Squad was first, but didn't do well, so it got converted to the Naked Gun movies.
